Filippo de Braud is Director of Medical Oncology and Hematology at the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Milan and Professor at the University of Milan. His specialisms are medical oncology, early-phase trials and gastrointestinal cancers, and he heads the phase 1 programme at Italy's national cancer institute. His papers include the combined phase I results of the pan-TRK, ROS1 and ALK inhibitor entrectinib from the ALKA-372-001 and STARTRK-1 trials, a Cancer Discovery study showing a fasting-mimicking diet is safe and reshapes metabolism and antitumour immunity in patients with cancer, and the CheckMate 032 trial of nivolumab alone or with ipilimumab in recurrent small-cell lung cancer.
