Evanthia Galanis is a brain tumour specialist who chairs one of the largest US clinical trial networks.
Evanthia Galanis is Group Chair of the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology and Professor of Oncology at Mayo Clinic. A medical oncologist specialising in neuro-oncology, her research centres on glioblastoma and oncolytic measles virus therapy, and she became group chair of the Alliance in 2023, succeeding Monica Bertagnolli. Her papers include a Cancer Research study of an oncolytic measles virus expressing the sodium iodide symporter for drug-resistant ovarian cancer and a Journal of Clinical Oncology phase II trial of vorinostat in recurrent glioblastoma. She now leads one of the largest US clinical trial networks while continuing work on oncolytic viruses in glioma and ovarian cancer.
