Angelika Eggert is Director of the Department of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology at Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin. A paediatric oncologist, her specialisms are neuroblastoma, paediatric oncology and tumour biology. She studies neuroblastoma biology, including Trk receptor signalling and risk-adapted therapy. Her papers include a Nature Communications study of spatial and temporal intratumour heterogeneity and its consequences for treatment decisions based on a single biopsy, a study showing neuroblastoma cells depend on HDAC11 for mitotic progression, and the randomised GPOH trial NB2004-HR, which tested extended induction chemotherapy in high-risk neuroblastoma.
