Andrés Cervantes is Professor of Medicine at the University of Valencia and Head of Medical Oncology at the INCLIVA Biomedical Research Institute and Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valencia, and served as President of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) for 2023-2024. A gastrointestinal oncologist specialising in colorectal cancer, he is best known for guideline work. He led the ESMO Clinical Practice Guidelines on metastatic colorectal cancer in Annals of Oncology, in their 2014 and 2023 editions, and co-authored the 2012 ESMO consensus guidelines on a personalised approach to colon and rectal cancer. His publications are listed on PubMed.
