Alfredo Addeo is Head of the Oncology Division at Geneva University Hospitals (HUG). A medical oncologist specialising in thoracic oncology and immunotherapy, he has published widely on immune checkpoint inhibitors, biomarkers of response and the design of clinical trials in non-small-cell lung cancer, small-cell lung cancer and mesothelioma. His papers include the SAKK 19/17 safety analysis of first-line durvalumab in PD-L1 positive advanced non-small-cell lung cancer in patients with a performance status of 2, a Swiss cohort study of immune checkpoint inhibitors in relapsed small-cell lung cancer, and a French-language review on whether to treat elderly patients with metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer with immunotherapy. He leads the division's clinical and research work in Geneva.
