SSTR1 (Somatostatin receptor type 1) is a gene. The public catalogues list it as a drug target, and an approved or late-stage drug is recorded against it. Tied to Neuroendocrine tumours. This dossier gathers the 0 products (0 approved), 0 trials, 0 pathways and 0 resistance routes in the corpus that involve it, with external identifiers so it can be joined to UniProt, ChEMBL, Open Targets and the rest of biology.
Receptor for somatostatin with higher affinity for somatostatin-14 than -28. This receptor is coupled via pertussis toxin sensitive G proteins to inhibition of adenylyl cyclase. In addition it stimulates phosphotyrosine phosphatase and Na(+)/H(+) exchanger via pertussis toxin insensitive G proteins. Location: Cell membrane (UniProt). Locus 14q21.1 (HGNC).
