SDHC (Succinate dehydrogenase cytochrome b560 subunit, mitochondrial) is a gene. In the public catalogues the evidence so far is association rather than a proven role. Tied to Neuroendocrine tumours, Breast cancer, Colorectal cancer and 1 more. This dossier gathers the 0 products (0 approved), 0 trials, 0 pathways and 0 resistance routes in the corpus that involve it, with external identifiers so it can be joined to UniProt, ChEMBL, Open Targets and the rest of biology.
Membrane-anchoring subunit of succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) that is involved in complex II of the mitochondrial electron transport chain and is responsible for transferring electrons from succinate to ubiquinone (coenzyme Q). SDH also oxidises malate to the non-canonical enol form of oxaloacetate, enol-oxaloacetate. Enol-oxaloacetate, which is a potent inhibitor of the succinate dehydrogenase activity, is further isomerised into keto-oxaloacetate. Location: Mitochondrion inner membrane (UniProt). Locus 1q23.3 (HGNC).
