PSMB11 (Proteasome subunit beta type-11) is an enzyme. The public catalogues list it as a drug target, and an approved or late-stage drug is recorded against it. Tied to Multiple myeloma, Non-Hodgkin lymphoma and Mantle cell lymphoma. This dossier gathers the 0 products (0 approved), 0 trials, 0 pathways and 0 resistance routes in the corpus that involve it, with external identifiers so it can be joined to UniProt, ChEMBL, Open Targets and the rest of biology.
The proteasome is a multicatalytic proteinase complex which is characterised by its ability to cleave peptides with Arg, Phe, Tyr, Leu, and Glu adjacent to the leaving group at neutral or slightly basic pH. The proteasome has an ATP-dependent proteolytic activity. Incorporated instead of PSMB5 or PSMB8, this unit reduces the chymotrypsin-like activity of the proteasome. Plays a pivotal role in development of CD8-positive T cells. Location: Cytoplasm; Nucleus (UniProt). Locus 14q11.2 (HGNC).
