TCR discovery company that cut 75% of staff in September 2026 to focus on in vivo-engineered TCR-T for solid tumours (PRAME, MAGE-A4).
TScan Therapeutics, based in Waltham, Massachusetts, and listed as TCRX, is a TCR discovery company that cut 75 percent of its staff in September 2026 to focus on in vivo-engineered TCR-T for solid tumours against PRAME and MAGE-A4. It paused the phase 3 ALLOHA-2 trial of TSC-101 for lack of capital, has two in vivo TCR-T candidates entering IND-enabling studies with phase 1 planned for the fourth quarter of 2027, and previously ran a multiplexed autologous TCR-T basket study in solid tumours. OnCo links it to TCR-T cell therapy and in vivo CAR-T, to MAGE-A4 as a target, and to the idea of antibodies that see mutant KRAS and p53 fragments displayed on the cell surface. Whether a company can survive the gap between pausing a phase 3 and dosing a new first-in-human candidate is the open question its reorganisation raises. The TCR-T technology page carries the field.
