Puma Biotechnology developed neratinib (Nerlynx), the extended-adjuvant HER2 pill.
Puma Biotechnology, based in Los Angeles and listed as PBYI, is a single-product company that developed neratinib, sold as Nerlynx, the extended-adjuvant HER2 tablet for breast cancer. Neratinib was approved in 2017 for extended adjuvant use and in 2020 for metastatic HER2-positive disease in combination with capecitabine, and the company is also developing alisertib, an Aurora A kinase inhibitor. OnCo links it to HER2-positive breast cancer and to the neratinib drug record. Whether extended adjuvant HER2 blockade still adds value as earlier treatment improves is the open question for its one marketed product. Neratinib has its own page.
A pill taken for a year after trastuzumab to further reduce recurrence in HER2-positive, hormone-positive breast cancer, limited by severe diarrhoea.
Alisertib is an oral serine/threonine kinase inhibitor from Puma Biotechnology, Inc., in registered phase 2 trials for small-cell lung cancer.
