Kura Oncology developed ziftomenib, the second menin inhibitor approved for leukaemia (November 2025), in partnership with Kyowa Kirin.
Kura Oncology, based in San Diego and listed as KURA, developed ziftomenib, the second menin inhibitor approved for leukaemia, in partnership with Kyowa Kirin. Ziftomenib, sold as Komzifti, was approved on 13 November 2025 for relapsed or refractory NPM1-mutated acute myeloid leukaemia on the KOMET-001 trial, the KOMET-007 trials test it with 7+3 chemotherapy and with venetoclax and azacitidine in frontline disease, and the company also has a farnesyl-transferase inhibitor programme; the global Kyowa Kirin partnership dates from 2024. OnCo links it to acute myeloid leukaemia and to the AUGMENT-101 paper on revumenib, the first menin inhibitor. Whether menin inhibitors move into first-line combinations is the question KOMET-007 will answer. The FDA approval notice is linked.
Ziftomenib is the second menin inhibitor for leukaemia, approved in November 2025 as a once-daily pill for relapsed NPM1-mutated AML.
