Digital patient-monitoring platform for cancer care, acquired by Elekta in 2020.
Kaiku Health, based in Helsinki and acquired by Elekta in 2020, is a digital patient monitoring platform for cancer care. Its symptom reporting uses algorithms that flag toxicities to care teams and is used across European cancer centres. OnCo links it to electronic patient-reported outcomes and remote monitoring. Whether algorithm-flagged symptom reporting improves outcomes in routine care as it did in trials, and whether a radiotherapy company is the right owner, are the open questions. The ePRO technology page carries the evidence.
