Immix Biopharma is a Los Angeles cell-therapy company whose BCMA CAR-T NXC-201 is the first CAR-T to show deep responses in AL amyloidosis, the disease in which misfolded antibody fragments damage the heart and kidneys.
Immix Biopharma, through its subsidiary Nexcella, develops NXC-201 (formerly HBI0101), a BCMA-directed CAR-T cell therapy originally created at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem. NXC-201 is being studied in the NEXICART-2 trial in relapsed or refractory AL amyloidosis, where it holds orphan and regenerative medicine advanced therapy designations, and in multiple myeloma. The company also has the tissue-specific therapeutic IMX-110 for soft tissue sarcoma.
NXC-201 CAR-T is an experimental CAR-T cell therapy from Nexcella in phase 2 trials, aimed at BCMA.
