Blue Earth Diagnostics makes Posluma (18F-rhPSMA-7.3) and Axumin (fluciclovine) PET agents for prostate cancer.
Blue Earth Diagnostics, based in Oxford and a subsidiary of Bracco, makes the PET imaging agents Posluma, or flotufolastat F-18, also written 18F-rhPSMA-7.3, and Axumin, or fluciclovine F-18, for prostate cancer. Posluma was approved in 2023 on the LIGHTHOUSE and SPOTLIGHT trials, and a therapeutic rhPSMA analogue is in development, which would extend the radiohybrid platform from imaging into treatment. OnCo links it to prostate cancer and to both tracer records. Whether a fluorine-18 PSMA agent with a matched therapeutic can win share from the gallium-68 tracers already established is the open question. Flotufolastat and fluciclovine have their own pages.
Flotufolastat is a third PSMA PET tracer, with a radiohybrid chemistry designed to be reused for therapy.
Fluciclovine F-18 was the first PET tracer approved for finding recurrent prostate cancer after treatment (2016), and has been largely superseded since 2020 by PSMA PET.
