ABX is a German maker of the precursors and kits behind PET imaging tracers, including PSMA agents for prostate cancer, and sponsors the trials that register them.
ABX advanced biochemical compounds, based in Radeberg near Dresden, manufactures radiopharmaceutical precursors, cold kits and labelling chemistry used to produce PET tracers, among them PSMA-directed agents for prostate cancer imaging developed with the German Cancer Research Center. It acts as lead sponsor of phase 3 diagnostic trials registered on ClinicalTrials.gov.
PSMA-1007 is a fluorine-18 PSMA PET tracer from ABX in Germany, widely used in Europe for prostate cancer staging because little of it reaches the bladder, and in a phase 3 trial registered by its maker.
