Gregor Serša and Maja Čemažar's group pioneered electrochemotherapy, combining electric pulses with bleomycin or cisplatin, and the institute led the European ESOPE standard operating procedures; it also has strong programmes in melanoma, breast and head and neck cancer, radiotherapy and brachytherapy, and medical oncology trials.
