Korea's national gastric cancer endoscopy screening, which it evaluates, is credited with high early-detection rates and falling mortality. The centre opened Korea's first proton therapy centre in 2007, runs one of the country's largest clinical trial programmes, and hosts research on hepatocellular carcinoma, gastric and colorectal cancer, lung cancer screening and cancer survivorship.
