It randomised 494 patients with relapsed myeloma after at least one line to belantamab or daratumumab, each with bortezomib and dexamethasone, met its primary progression-free survival endpoint with a large effect and showed a survival benefit in the 2024 update, while ocular events in about eighty percent were managed by dose holds; the drug was re-approved in the United States and European Union in 2025. OnCo links it to multiple myeloma, belantamab mafodotin, bortezomib and Sagar Lonial, and DREAMM-8 is concordant.
