## Summary

Yale School of Medicine and Yale Cancer Center in New Haven form an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centre and the home of the Cell2Sentence single-cell language models built with Google. David van Dijk's lab developed Cell2Sentence and C2S-Scale with Google DeepMind and Google Research, representing cells as text so that general language models can reason about them, and a C2S-Scale hypothesis about interferon sensitisation was validated in vitro in 2025. OnCo connects it to the Cell2Sentence technology record, to the Yale University Open Data Access Project, and to the virtual cell roadmap. Whether language-model reasoning over cells produces hypotheses that hold up in patients is the open question. Its Cell2Sentence and Yale Cancer Center programmes are listed below.
