## Summary

Stablix is a preclinical-stage biotechnology company based in New York City and Boston pioneering targeted deubiquitination therapeutics (also described as targeted protein stabilisation). Its RESTORED platform generates heterobifunctional small molecules (RESTORACs) that recruit deubiquitinase enzymes to remove ubiquitin from a chosen protein, increasing its levels and activity. The company frames excess ubiquitination as a driver of disease, including cancers in which upregulated E3 ligases degrade tumour suppressor proteins, and is applying the approach to cancer, rare diseases and immunological disorders. In April 2023 it entered a strategic collaboration with Vertex to discover and develop targeted protein stabilisation therapeutics. Stablix launched in June 2021 with a 63 million US dollar Series A led by Versant Ventures with NEA, Cormorant, Euclidean Capital and Alexandria Real Estate Equities.
