Rolf Kiessling is Professor of Experimental Oncology at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, working with Karolinska University Hospital. His specialisms are tumour immunology, natural killer cells and cancer vaccines. He is the immunologist who first described natural killer cells, co-discovering them in the 1970s; his European Journal of Immunology paper reported natural killer cells in the mouse as cytotoxic cells with specificity for Moloney leukaemia cells. He has since worked on tumour immune escape and cell-based immunotherapy, including CAR-NK approaches. His publications are listed on PubMed.
