## TL;DR

Led CheckMate 067, the trial whose ten-year data showed half of advanced melanoma patients on nivolumab plus ipilimumab are alive.

## Summary

Jedd Wolchok (Weill Cornell Medicine; formerly MSKCC) was principal investigator of CheckMate 067, which established nivolumab plus ipilimumab as the most durable therapy in advanced melanoma with median survival beyond six years and ten-year melanoma-specific survival near 50%. He led early ipilimumab development, defined the immune-related response criteria, and co-founded the Parker Institute network. His laboratory studies mechanisms of checkpoint blockade.
